Join Our Team as a Pharmacist in Geelong!

Situated in a popular suburb of Geelong, just over an hour's drive south-west of Melbourne's CBD. This area is known for its big city feel without the congestion, stunning coastline, diverse nightlife, and foodie culture.

We are seeking a full-time or part-time Pharmacist to join our friendly team renowned for its holistic approach to health, our caring staff, and expert advice. Your primary duties, apart from dispensing, checking, and changing dose administration, will include:

• Medication management, diabetes education, blood glucose testing, weight management, allergies and asthma.
• Supplying medicines to nursing homes and mental health facilities
• Delivering educational in-services to facility staff
• Pharmacotherapy, including oral treatments and long-acting injectable buprenorphine
• Providing an immunisation and vaccination service
• Participating in pilot programs such as UTI treatments, OCP resupply, shingles and minor psoriatic skin ailments treatment, travel vaccinations, and travel health

Excellent communication skills are vital, as is a passion for customer interaction and building and maintaining excellent customer relationships to ensure the best health outcomes for the local community.

• General registration with AHPRA.
• Proficiency with the Fred computer system.
• Ability to provide extended scope of practice (Victorian pilot program) or willingness to upskill in these areas.
• Australian community pharmacy experience in providing diverse professional health services.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

• Competitive pay rate of $45-$52.50 per hour, negotiable depending on skills and accreditation.
• Professional development with exteneded scope of practice.
• Work alongside 3 other pharmacists on weekdays and 1 other on Saturday.
• Support from a team of 3 Dispense Technicians and 3-4 additional assistants
